Welcome to the board Johnny Rico!

Yes, the serpent temple is known to many of us, but until I know more about where you are in the game, I can only give general directions. Follow the river north and hang a left when you get to a large pond/small lake area. There is a bridge/dock that blocks the entrance to the caves of Ishad N'ha. You will need to complete the crypt and have the Signet of the Mavin to get past the Oracles. Once past them, follow the river south as far as it goes. You will meet Kol the Heretic there who will give you directions on how to get into the Serpent Temple. Don't forget to ask him about a key and back door.
