There are some other objects that allow you to "invoke" their powers - like Neptunes Ring (which I keep meaning to do and keep forgetting to do so I don't know what it does).
You don't need the evil eye for anything else.
You're not evil or cursed by invoking the evil eye - just gives you a nifty power.
