I prefer not to use the exp cap remover as it starts screwing around with game balance (multiclass characters lose restriction for example). But each to their own.
In regard to romances you are a female playing a female character right?
Well then if you're a woman in Amn you romance options are:

ANOMEN. The Fighter-Cleric in the Copper Coronet.
Some players hate his dialogue and/or stats and so would consider this a curse, but you may dig it. I always found Anomen a very useful character, with an interesting sidequest. If you're a femme this would obviously include the romance subplot.
