The last one on the right, closest to the gate you want to open is the last one you should pull...it does not stay down. All the other chains must be in the down position, but you have to check when you pull them because they will tend to cause other chains to go up when you pull them down. Once all the other chains are in the down position, pull the last one and the gate will open.
