It's perfectly fine to express grief or other emotion about the news, but please, people, try to refrain from exploding at members of other races. I have friends in Denton who are Middle Eastern students and I can only imagine the terror they are going through right now, fearing retaliation from others.

It is a horrible, sick, terrifying situation. My supervisor whom I think the world and all of is a sergeant in the US Army Reserves. She is due for retirement in May. I dread the thought of her having to go to war, if that possibility arises.

Keep posting news here, guys. It's the only link some of us have (at least I do until I get home and to a TV.)

sorry Saz... I just posting what I read and heard on the news...

here's the info
From coast to coast -- the United States is on high alert following today's
attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
Terrorists crashed two planes into the World Trade Center in New York.
Both of the twin towers, each 110 stories tall, have collapsed. Another aircraft
crashed into the Pentagon in Washington and there are reports a car bomb
exploded outside the State Department.
Evacuations have been ordered at the United Nations building in
New York, the Sears Tower in Chicago and a number of buildings in
the nation's capital.
Security is also being boosted at Fort Detrick in
Frederick, Maryland -- home to the Army's main germ warfare defense
laboratory.
The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered that airports
nationwide halt all outbound flights.
And in Los Angeles, the police went on tactical alert, and have
mobilized an anti-terrorist division.
