Mmmmm... sorry but while you all were posting here trying to help me I was killing the gauths !! I used the fire elemental tactic (pretty good, with only one of them, without any person from my party I killed 4 gauths and a beholder). I have completed this quest and now Im in the planar prison quest (though I dont like it very much, maybe i will load autosave and do other quests first).
And Melusine, if i cast a fireball (from wand or spell) on them, no matter if theyre out of sight, they will come for me. Even the shadows near them attacked me.
