EDIT: Azred, thanks for your help but I've found the problem. While googling IWD mods, I found a post at sorcerers.net that solved my mystery. The author of the EoU pack mentioned there that HoW is required for it...something that wasn't mentioned in the readme.txt file. Since I'm only using the original IWD, I'll just need to forget the patch.
