I gave 2 weeks notice at work today. I quit my job! But, I'm moving to the 21st floor of a big firm on the river in downtown Chicago. Big raise. [img]graemlins/thewave.gif[/img]
The unfortunate thing is that 2 weeks from now I suspect I will be spending MUCH less time on this board. I know - for some of you, that's not such a bad thing
- but for ME it sucks. [img]graemlins/awcrap.gif[/img]
What do you guys think about my trade:
Giving up:
- Lots of court work and high-end 5+ yr attorney work - the real deal
- Small firm, flexible hours, go home early
Getting:
- 50% pay raise
- prestige of being with one of the nation's 40 largest firms
- going back to 100% environmental law
Thoughts all?? Guess this should be a separate topic. As usual, I Didn't know I'd ramble for so long when I first posted.
