I have a few boxes of earplugs right here. They kinda lower the noise, but you can still hear pretty much everything. We used them at the breweries where the sound of thousands of bottles passing by on the rinse line can do some serious damage to your hearing, i now use them because the snoring of the guest that stays at my place is driving me nuts.
They'll give you SOME protection, but aginst THAT much noise i'm not sure if they would do any good. Still, it's better than nothing.
