paladin human LG 1h-swords + axes
cleric elf NG any blunt + sling
fighter elf LN 2h-sword + longbow
fighter(7) dual to mage human TN halbard + longbow
thief(7) dual to mage human CG bow + short sword
bard h-elf TN x-bow + any melee
plenty of mage-power
plenty of missile weapons

although at the time when both my mages haden't regained their abilities (dragons eye) the going was pretty hard on insane lvl - but when got the use of bows back you've got the best of both worlds
