The arms held her tightly, wrapped securely around her frail body as if to lock her in place for safe keeping. There was something different about those arms. He was thinner, weaker, more careworn. She realized in an instant she'd never given herself a chance to wonder what might have happened to him. Who knew how much he'd really changed. But in spite of these concerns, a familiarity washed over her, along with a longing to just be held tighter and tighter. Her head pressed tightly to his chest, she wrapped her arms around him and clung to his shoulders. She knew the instant he'd embraced her that there was nothing to explain.
