isnt it was soy sauce?
We prefer to call it ketchup. if you say soy sauce nobody knows what you talking about.
Not be rude but ketchup is ketchup and soya sauce is soya sauce.
BIG difference
Ketchup is made from tomatoes. (should be called tomatoe sauce)
Soya sauce is made from fermented soya beans.

Also honestly who hasn't heard of "soya sauce" its almost as common as table salt.

Also the brand "Kikkoman" is a famous japanese brand of soya sauce that can be used to dip with sushi or any oriental cooking.

Sorry to have a big thing about this its just that I personally find it offencive when people get asian things mix up.
(sorry if I made a big deal about it)
not sound to be rude but ever teach a duck how to swim before? I think you just did just now. how does it feel? hmmmm?

since you know something about asian. do you know that we overhere call it ketchup because of kicap? I never heard of soy sauce before. If you go to the shop and you said ketchup ( kicap ). everybody will know what you want but if you say soy sauce. nobody knows what you want. they'll say " soi sos? nay kong mat yeh ah dailou? "
Where exactly is here then Kakero?
Fair enough, I accept your explaination, but as Skippy said where are you from may that can explain the reason for this confusion?
