I read through and posted on the will it sell thread over there, and I thought then, and think now that it will, unfortunately, sell, and sell well. Two motivating factors in my eyes, and the first one is really deceptive, all things considered:

1. Because it says Neverwinter Nights. It's the sequel to one of the longest running, best supported CRPG's ever released. The unfortunate part of that is that a lot of the Neverwinter Nights' fans that run out to get it are going to be very disappointed at the lack of features, that were already in game.

2. It's being released during a relative dry spell of other CRPG's. The only recent release to that release will be Oblivion, and it's already out. It's a shame that some of the players will never know what they are missing...

A note about PW's. The actual tools to support PW's were initially released by the community, and sucked up by Bioware in an official release, if I remember correctly. People like Papermonk worked long hard hours to make them possible, for little to no credit. Bioware was extremely surprised to find out that the engine could be twisted around to support them. With scripting functions that have been added over the last year or so, PW's are a lot easier to maintain, and to build from scratch. If 2 bombs as badly for MP support as I'm thinking, we've decided to build a small module for a few friends, but to continue to put time and effort into the mod we have going now. I've posted here and there that I prefer the online play abilities of NWN's, and if I can't have the game for what I want it for, I really don't want it. Maybe snatch it up out of a bargain bin a year from now, if it can even be found that way.
