Our lev 10 party (lord, nin, bish) is about to take on the breeders. Currently have all protections at lev 7. Wish us luck!

What I have found is that you can avoid the goons. Or least I have done this a few times. After the battle, go to the far wall of the breeding room and rest. More than once if necessary. Poke your heads out to see if the coast is clear. You can make it out of the Rattkin tree without a major fight about half the time. If you rest near the door or elsewhere, the goons will sense you and approach, or they will be waiting patiently to kill you.
