I see that you've had excellent advice! There is one way that you can change a character from one class back to a previous class - resetting the adventures. Basically this is starting the game over but your characters keep their skills, class and any non quest equipment but they "loose" their history of classes so the game no longer recognizes that your Ninja was once a Paladin and will let you make that change if you like. Resetting adventures is not a bad strategy for building up strong parties early in the game if you don't mind playing through the crypt and Valeia sections of the game more than once.
