Actually the thing that means ur level drained looks more like a glass of something red (probably blood). If this is on any characters portrait, they have been level drained. If they have something that looks like a red x in a circle, there ability score has been drained.
In the former, cast lesser restoration, restoration, or greater restoration. IN the latter, sleep it off. Also do this last one if u have a red thing looking like the sleep thing.
