killing ren w/o magic is easy. first of all kill his demons. round, two rounds. use whirlwind attack if you've got it. then have all your fighters gang up on him. fire arrow with your mages. me, minsc and jaheria killed him in about 5 turns. you might want to use oils of speed etc. also have potions of hp and regen items (ring of gaxx esp)
give jah the staff of the woodlands - its as good as the staff of rynn but gives her barkskin. i had minsc dual wielding the flail of ages +3 and celstial fury. i dual wielded adjulah the drinker and daystar. imoen has gesen bow, everyone else just used standard slings. +3 mostly.
