There is quest where you will find 3 potions of youth (along with three of immortality which are totally worthless). I believe it is the quest with Langolin and Mrs. Argansa's missing husband. You will also find that Elmeric has them for sale in the town from time to time as you get up in levels - I think over about 20. You won't start losing points on your characters attributes until your character reaches about 60, but you will slow down gaining experience as you age.
