If you want to kill a lich without any hassle just grt your cleric to cast that sunray(The one that looks like wings of blood) and get (in my case Valygar) to use the daystars ability spell thing at the same time and the lich just dies. Doesn't work to well against Kangaxx by the way. But I was only at lvl 13-14.
