I'm always amazed that slavetrade seems to be widely accepted as a European thing, eventhough slavetrade in the middle east was just as big, if not bigger. Maybe it's because the majority of the slaves there where not from Africa? And what about the African tribesmen that sold their own kin into slavery? Shall we sweep that under the rug as well?
