Yep, The CrimsomBlade is dead right on that fix. The only thing is I don't know if you are actually using SOU (the expansion to this game). What version are you running..NWN's...SOU?
Regardless, a few suggestions in no particularer order:

1)Check for hakpacks you have installed - sometimes these interfere with patching, and make a copy of your hak folder then delete the other (even on a re-installation these can remain so don't rule it out).

2)Try the manual patch itself, you can get it on the Bioware site.

3)If all else fails, post your error message on the Technical Forums at Bioware.

P.S. You really should update to 1.30 though, so don't give up as they have fixed/added a huge amount of stuff which really helps.
