I have an AMD Duron 800 and dont have any troubles at all. I think its mostly video card related as to how well the graphics and so forth actuall run. In 3D mode the textures and stuff look really cool on my nVidia tnt2 32 meg video card.

I used to play it on a 400 Celeron and it was ok but nothing super special. No 3D though. Search paths was limited to 32,000. On the Duron 800 ive got 400,000 search paths

Now its more fun to play than it ever was on the 400. Also i htink how much ram you have has a lot to do with it. I went from 32 meg to 96 meg and it drasticly reduced load times for areas. Now on the 800 I have 128 meg of ram and the load times are very short .COOL
