I started reading Terry Pratchett's stuff, I think, somewhere around 1987 or so -- hooked from the start. He is, however, getting more and more prolific. I just barely get the latest copy, when another is coming out. Speaking of which, "The Last Hero" is coming out in the U.S. on October 16th... sounds like it's illustrated (according to Amazon.com), a tale of Cohen the Barbarian.

Hmm, not sure which was my favorite book... must go back and reread them all to find out!!!

As for favorite characters, Granny Weatherwax, Death of Rats, Death, Detritus, the gargoyles, Cheery Littlebottom... Twoflower??... best stop now, or everyone will be on my list.
