The prisoner is Htrak - did you get his lockpicks from Gorthius (SE of Valeia) and agree to deliver them? I had a heck of a time giving them to him (that give feature, I fumble around) . . . then he followed me around til I lost him when making spider nectre. One put flask down, two drop egg in room with drain, three go back up and operate wheel (repeatedly til narrator gives you lovely description of the process). Go down and get flask (can repeat process to make cure poison potions but save one for the brazier. This place is just a little too complex . . . been here a while but have new info (thanks everyone) and am going back. Luck!
