This was a common problem back in the early days of BG2. Do not download the romance patch. It does allow you to have romances with all three ladies at once, but at some point during your game, which appears to happen randomly, the women you are having the romances with will start freezing up as if they were over burdened and unable to move. Once this starts happening, it only gets worse and no fix was ever made to correct it. Once this happens the only solution is to romove the romance patch, and after you do that, the majority of the the people were not able to continue any romances after that at all. For some people removing the patch wasn't enough and they would have to re-install BG2 to correct the problem.
