Obviously, they are probably hiding in shelters or living in refugee camps. Just wondering about the consequences of invasion as it unfolds.

Iraq does have one of the highest literacy rates in the middle-east, of course there are pictures of Saddam in every classroom and school is goverment-run as well as mandatory.

Considering how severely the Iraqi people are indocrinated to revere Saddam, particularly in the vast middle class around Baghdad and other cities, I wonder how easy assimilation will be.

I have heard alot of Retired generals in the news describe the potential for a lengthy bloodbath in Bagdad. It apalls me to think of teenage "Saddam Youth" attacking "Zionist Foreigner Invaders" in the streets of Bagdad out of life-long conditioning and indocrination to a way of life.

I really hope they all just surrender, but the closer to Baghdad the less likely that becomes. That may be when we bomb them and "shock and awe" them to death. Time will tell.
