Hello, and yes, they are ridiculously overpowered.

1... If I spend my kensai's proficiency points on a weapon that a mage cannot normally use, will my kensai/mage be able to use it?

Yes.

2... Also, will my proficiency points disappear if I go past normal specialisation? eg if I spend five prof points on staffs as a kensai, then dual to mage (who can only normally be proficient in weapons)

No, you will gain back all your Fighter proficiencies when the level of your Mage class exceeds your Fighter class.

3... What slots should i spend my prof points on?

Most would say Dual-Wield Katanas, but I prefer to Grandmaster in Quarterstaffs and Two-Handed Weapon Style.

4... What equipment should i give my char? eg weapons, cloaks, rings, girdles etc

Armour: Robe of Vecna
Gloves: Gauntlets of Weapon Expertise( or Bracers of Defence 3)
Helmet: Helm of Balduran( or Helmet of Defence)
Amulet: Amulet of Power
Rings: Ring of Gaxx, Ring of Wizardry
Cloak: Cloak of Protection +2( or Cloak of Mirroring)
Boots: Boots of Speed
Belt: Girdle of Stone Giant Strength( or Belt of Inertial Barrier)

Weapons: Staff of Rynn +4, Staff of Magi +5

5... And finally, what level would you guys recommend me dualling my char?

If you are playing SoA only, then dual at level 9, if you plan to continue into ToB, then dual at level 13.

I know i have asked a lot of questions and any help would be appreciated. Also i checked search but i think its still broken?
Thanx in advance
Grimlock K.

No problem.
