after getting imoen i did the unseeing eye quest with viconia at 16th level and she was turning practically everything, including liches, into allies. so much easier to kill them when they will just stand there and do nothing while she whacks them a few times with the mace of disruption. turning undead is extremely handy; don't diss it.
