The irritatingly rude gnomish merchant who's either in the tavern or outside of it has the ale. It's 'pimento ale' or something weird like that, but the kids'll love it.
I never bought them the swords though, (darn, more XP missed) but I *was* playing a good character, and it wouldn't be 'good' to give young morons sharp objects to play with. For that matter, the ale wasn't a good thing to do either, but hey, I was chaotic....
