aaaaah, boy do I feel smart now. you see, the thing is, I forgot the one crucial step in the symantec security response step-by-step instructions, which was running my anti-vir software WHILE in safe-mode...I ran it before AND after safe-mode, but not while it was on...stupid me! [img]tongue.gif[/img] Anyways, I got it out now, hopefully for good, just needed to do some actual reading first
