I guess I should ask, "Which crystal?" If its the one off the Bauble Stick, "use" it on the receptical on the north wall in the circular room right before you meet Rethpian. The lift will come down and you can use it to visit a rather interesting mummy.
If it's one of the ones you get from the Warrior or Wizard spirit, "use" it in the appropriate receptical in one of the two chambers. You may have to look around to find it.
