Thanks, johnny! I figured it was mostly the 'lazy' factor or maybe the 'I just don't like emptying a dirty ash tray' syndrome! Didn't think all smokers were consciously out to irritate me or the rest of the world!
but I wondered.. because it seems so prevalent and it just struck me the last few days on my way home that I'd been seeing it more often, or at least taking note of it more than I used to.
LadyZ, I think all cars have ash trays (am being a bit sarcastic there! LOL). But I didn't realize you could start a fire in one like that. Whew .. you learn something new every day!
I guess it just seems so silly to toss something on the ground when you have a receptacle available for proper disposal, but I wondered about the 'why' behind it for those who did it.
