I have updated my BIOS as per the web site listed above. I then tried, again, to install the rotten 256MB chip, by itself, and was unsuccessful. I thank you all for you help and support. I do believe I will take the chip back to Best Buy and get a DVD or two. [img]graemlins/toilet.gif[/img]
