I *hate* compaq, as I may have mentioned.
Anyway, you can get into BIOS with F10 on most compaq machines. You need the ID string, not the BIOS type. That BIOS chip will be in hundreds of motherboards, we need to know what software its loaded with.
Compaq part numbers dont help either.
