Your, um...eclectic...posting style does irritate some people, but other people like it. I personally don't have a problem with it. It's not a popularity contest, and you certainly have the right to disagree with others - as long as you treat them with respect. And I really think you're starting to do that! Your ability to look at yourself and be honest and want to improve is a priceless gift - not everyone has that ability!
Remember also that if people criticize you (it happens to all of us) they're only disagreeing with what you say, not with you as a person.
