The ghosts are simply hard to kill. Non-magical weapons will hit them occasionally. Make sure u have plenty of healing potions when u attempt this, and just keep on healing and attacking. Make sure u take on the knight on his own. If the wizard is also attaking u at the same time run away for a bit, into a doorway and get the knight between u and the wizard, that way u can just concentrate on the kinght, then kill the wizard after(he should be easy on his own).
PS. Some spells do hit, it think "zap" was useful if i remember correctly.
