Davros,
If you have a credit card linked to your paypal account, just click on the donate button on the top of the IW page then click on the paypal logo.

You will then have the option to enter your paypal login information and be able to choose an amount for your donation that is then charged on your credit card. No need to put money in the paypal account, it goes directly onto your card with paypal as the go-between.

As for the $1.95 charge, I dont think you need that just to donate. Ask for a refund.
