Will the updates not load automatically, or have you tried at doing them manually too, and that also does not work?

Does the auto-update say that there are no updates available?

I am thinking that when you uninstalled and reinstalled the game, maybe something of the old install stayed behind (its hard to get an uninstaller to do 100% of the work) and that is why the game is stuck in a problem.

I say this because I uninstalled Nero 30-day trial a few months ago, and I STILL get error reports sometimes, telling me that Nero this or that, blah, blah. Very frustrating.
