firstly, about the beholder quest, how do I get passed the emphatic manifestation? I tried killing them to no avail. talking to no avail. and curing disease to no avail. so, how, oh bloody how, do I get the rod?

I'm not one for riddles either, sooo... is there a point to doing the riddle room in cpt 4? I don't wanna be wasting my time for some measly 10k exp
