I think the problem is the code itself. Make sure you type the right code, and if you're trying to create an item, make sure it exists (there's no such thing as BELT192 for example)
And it is indeed case sensitive.
If you are trying to add 5000 gold, for example, the code would be
CLUAConsole:AddGold("5000")
followed, of course, by pressing the return key.
