Kits dont excist in 3E, prestigeis classes do however, but they wont be brought into the game as far as I know.

I will probabley be a ranger

Perhaps a gnome ranger. Or better yet a gnome ranger/barbarian.

I always wanted to try a dwarf ranger as well.
