I have tonight received the following from Activision's Customer Services, in response to an email detailing problems running W&W in D3D mode with an ATI Rage 128 card:
"We are currently investigating these issues. In our experiences so far with ATI cards, we are finding that the game will not even play in D3D.
So far, it seems like a graphic driver issue, as the Radeon will not play this game correctly either. We have not determined exactly what is going on yet, however, so it might be some conflict within the game.
As far as a patch, it is unclear whether one will be released as of yet."
Hmm.... Frankly, without the promise of a patch I think more people will return the game. I think a quick announcement is in order confirming a patch will be produced, surely Activision is too big a company to release a game and not support it?
