I have tried both the jump-run method and building the stairs.
1. The jump-run method. It is possible but it is difficult even with high Athletics. It is much more difficult than, for example, climbing the walls in the Boogre Prison or climbing the chain in the Skull Castle. But it IS possible.
2. The stairs. Four crates are nearby. You can bring two suitable crates from the room with a chest on your way from the statue to the crypt lord and its melody boys. These 6 crates will form a confortable stairs to the jindol. Keep in mind that you can jump with a crate in hands. The crate will jump with you. This allows you to deliver the crate on the high levels of the stairs.
