And to point out a minor detail, I would not change the priest to a paladin until you've got the level 4 vine spell Cure Poison. Mighty handy, that one is, in just a little bit further on in the game...

Aside from that, the usual suggestion to get level seven spells still applies. But you'd only have to worry about Vine, since your paladin will still be able to learn level seven spirit. If you don't care about those spells at the moment, then don't worry about it.
