Well, actually it's cheaper to celebrate it with a few friends in a cafe or something. Then you'll only pay a few rounds, and that's it. But celebrate it at home, like i always used to do, and it could cost you a week's paycheck. I've had parties with 30 to 40 people coming over, and they all want drinks, like all night long, and food on the table as well. You do the math.
