I have been having some serious issues with my video card. Even after putting a full clean install of Windows XP and the driver(loaded by XP)for my ASUS V9280/TD Ti4200 card I still get pixels and dots and lines, but nothing like before. I called ASUS tech support and he believes it is a driver issue. His highest and best suggestion was to uninstall the current driver and install Nvidia's 56.72 driver which he stated they had solid results with for my particular card. My Video Graphics Card guide has the steps listed on what I need to do to undo the graphics card driver. So my questions are:

1. Do any of you see other things I should be aware of? and...

2. I downloaded the new driver onto my Desktop screen. It is an executable. I should be able to load it by merely clicking it on, correct?

Thanks.
