all the multiplayer games have a monthly fee.. to support the servers in the first place.
also, i just checked out the website. it looks really interesting...

so even though you cannot bring your lvl 50 Walking killing machine. then you can bring your heirlooms based on your experience.. not so sure what that really means though.. get some goody items from the start maybe?
also you should really check out the graphics..
