This a great chance to quit smoking with the support and co-operation of hundreds of thousands of other smokers!
At the least, abstaining for one day will allow smokers to discover just how important tobacco/nicotine is in their everyday life. I'd also encourage everyone who smokes to break out a calculator and figure out what you spend on cigs in a year... it will make you sick.
This is the first year I've actually participated since the early/mid 80's because I've just past my nicotine-clean six month
anniversary. I used to spend over well over $100 dollars a month on cigarettes.
