She notices a speck of dust on one corner of the new fireplace mantle and is struck by an instant need to clean... moving on fast-forward she quickly sweeps dusts mops clears does-the-dishes vaccuums-the-sofa beats-the-rugs rearranges-the-furniture paints-the-ceiling cleans-out-the-chimney makes-a-new-fire washes-the-bar-rags-by-hand-with-a-washboard finally running out the door for a 40 mile-an-hour jog around the block*
