OK. These are the tactics I applied for defeating Firkraag.

Now, the nitwit doesn't attack you until you make any overt moves towards him (HAHAHA!) Hence, here's what I did:

- Cast Lower Resistance on Firkraag as many times as necessary.
- Position the party thus: Your fighter should stand ready to engage the Dragon at close quarters, with all the dragonslaying gear. The others encircle Firkraag, missile weapons at the ready (two short bows, two slings and a longbow, I have) with as much magic ammo as I could find. If you have Boots of Speed, have your fighter wear them.
- Make sure everyone has a slot of Extra Helaing Potions.
- Summon whatever you can.- Cast lots of things on the party. In the end, I used Defensive Harmony, Resist Fear, Protection from Evil 15" Radius, Bless, Chant, Mass Invisibility, Haste, etc, etc, etc.
- Attack. Have Jahiera cast Summon Insects, and Nalia cast a Pierce Magic, immediately and simultaneously. The others open fire with whatever magical stuff they have. The summoned cannon fodder and you fighter should attack.
- Once the initial spells are away, anything goes. I recommend Nalia throws many, many Magic Missiles at the Dragon. The insects should disrupt Firkraag's spellcasting. The party should shoot Firkraag. If your fighter is knocked away, and Firkraag chooses another target, have that target run away from him while the others shoot him. Then, when your fighter wakes up, guklp dopwn a potion or two and re-engage the dragon.
- Repeat this strategy until the dragon is dead. If one of your party members is attacked and wounded, throw another party member into combat to distract the dragon while the wounded member escapes and heals.
- Firkraag's breath is dangerous. Space your fighters out.
- With any luck, Firkraag will expire before you do.
